about me
hello! welcome to my scrappy little corner of the internet. I'm the titular faea; among other things, I'm a hobby pixel artist, a hobby game developer, and I like to write about things that are on my mind.
I mainly use this as a space to discuss videogames: things I like about them or otherwise find interesting, from a sorta-analytical and sorta-personal lens. I think I have an interesting perspective, and I'd like to think that anything I find compelling enough to write about should be interesting to read :).

miscellanea
I consider myself generally very curious and open to a lot of things, but my interests and preferences in games tend to lean towards:
~ dungeon-crawlers (both turn-based and real-time)
~ arcade and arcade-style games
~ games that express their stories through play
~ anything with strong idiosyncrasies, really!
I tend to lean away from games with high execution requirements and ones with a lot of visual noise or excess as I have minor co-ordination issues and somewhat less-than-minor processing disabilities that both make precise complex inputs very difficult and that can make games with certain types of visual excess almost completely unplayable to me.
I think my tastes are still a little too in flux for me to have a strong list of favourites, but this 5x5 is a good blend of my absolute favourites and my range across different genres:
